In December 2017, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra acquired the former Warner Grand Theater building on West Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which will serve as the MSO’s performance center, once renovated.

Since announcing the donor-led initiative to restore the historic theater into a performance venue for the MSO, community support has galvanized for this project. Yet, despite considerable donations, the orchestra seems far from what will be needed to refurbish the movie theater.

The Orchestra announced a new goal of donations: $139 million, compared with the previously announced goal of $120 million. The orchestra so far has raised $106 million.

The new performance hall should be ready by fall 2020.
