The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has named Italian conductor Michele Mariotti, 42, the company’s new music director. Mariotti will assume the new position in November 2022 with an initial four-year contract. Current Music Director Daniele Gatti will end his tenure on Dec, 31, 2021.
