The Mascagni Department of the Goldoni Theater Foundation has just announced those admitted to the Mascagni Academy 2025, confirming the international profile of the training initiative dedicated to the great verismo tradition.

Once again for this edition, the Academy will welcome young singers from over ten different nationalities. A participation that reflects the growing appeal of the Mascagni Academy project, unique in its focus and educational quality.

This extraordinary geographic variety is not only a source of prestige, but also constitutes a valuable cultural and artistic opportunity: the participants will be the protagonists of opera productions, concerts and special projects within the Mascagni Festival, bringing with them experiences, languages and interpretations that will enrich the local and national music scene.

« The Mascagni Academy brings the name of Pietro Mascagni to the world and the world to Livorno, » says Marco Voleri, artistic director of the Mascagni Festival. « It is a project that combines education and culture, strengthening the international identity of our city through music. »

The Mascagni Academy thus confirms its role as an international center for training excellence in opera music, a place where Livorno becomes a point of reference and meeting point for new generations of performers of the veristic repertoire.

Among the 25 candidates chosen from several hundred applicants is the Luxembourg dramatic soprano Lynn Feyereisen.
