The Malaysian Philharmonic has announced the Brazilian Fabio Mechetti as principal conductor from next season. Mechetti is music director of the ‘Orquestra Filarmônica’ in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and – until mid 2015 – of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
