A benefit concert entitled Music for Ukraine will be organized in Madrid by the CSIPM (Center for Higher Research & Promotion of Music), the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and Círculo de Bellas Artes on Thursday, March 31st.

Music for Ukraine, music for peace… It was an idea of the founders of the international solidarity movement Music Without Quarantine, who shared it with the CSIPM and quickly things got started with the support of Círculo de Bellas Artes and UAM. Those people living in Madrid can enjoy this benefit concert for the Red Cross Ukraine. Ten artists from different nationalities: Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico & Peru. They’ll offer a recital at Teatro Fernando de Rojas on Thursday, March 31st. Four of them – Anna Fedorova (piano), Dana Zemtsov (viola), Claudio Constantini (bandoneon) & Mikhail Pochekin (violin) – had participated in Music Without Quarantine back in 2020, over the hard months of the lockdown, when they offered their talent & music to the world. Six other musicians will join them: Vadim Gladkov, (piano), Boris Fedorov (piano), Tatiana Melnychenko (soprano), Ihor Voievodin (bass-baritone), Elina Sitnikava (violin) & the young Sofia Zholobova (piano), who is a Ukrainian refugee.
