For the first time in its history, the Luxembourg Philharmonic will have an entire season without a Music Director. Gustavo Gimeno is ending his tenure at the end of the current season. The 2025/26 season was announced today at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg.

It becomes obvious however that the management had no problems in providing the musicians good conductors for the season, and even, for two concerts, Martin Rajna, who will be Music Director from the 2026/27 season.

Among the conductors who will be on the podium are Paavo Järvi, Robin Ticciati, John Eliot Gardiner, Tugan Sokhiev, Daniele Rustoni, Jukka-Pekka Saraste,  Renaud Capuçon and, for his 90th birthday concert, Honorary Chief Conductor Leopold Hager.

This brilliant panel has a no less brilliant counterpart with the panel of soloists like Maria Joao Pires, Jakub Orlinski, Francesco Piemontesi, Leonidas Kavakos and Bruce Liu, among many others.
