Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg, in partnership with the Philharmonie Luxembourg, is organizing the third edition of the Luxembourg ClasscialMeeting on September 16 and 17, 2021, an eventwhich highlights the multiplicity of the country’s classical music scene.

The program honors all the excellence and artistic diversity of the Grand Duchy in the field of classical and contemporary music. During two days, the Luxembourg artists will have the opportunity to meet international representatives of concert halls, festivals, agencies and the specialized press, but also to perform in the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie for the general public.

The selected artists are Artemandoline, Hélène Boulègue (flute), Cathy Krier (piano), Benjamin Kruithof (cello), Max Mausen (clarinet), Christoph Sietzen (percussion), Trio Machine à Trois (vibraphone, marimba, piano) and United Instruments of Lucilin. Three Luxembourg composers will also be honored: Catherine Kontz, Alexander Müllenbach and Roby Steinmetzer.

The Luxembourg Classical Meeting coincides with the season opening of the Philharmonie, which will present on Thursday, September 16 at 8 pm the opening concert of the OPL conducted by Gustavo Gimeno with soprano Diana Damrau.
