‘music:LX’, Luxembourg’s music export office, has considerably helped musicians from the Grand-Duchy to establish themselves on the international scene. In the field of classical music « there has never been such a big number of CD publications as in 2017 », the office writes in a press release. Mentioned are the CDs of Jean Muller (Goldberg Variations, Hänssler Classic), Francesco Tristano (Piano Circle Songs, Sony Classical), Cathy Krier (Cavi-Music), Sabine Weyer (2 CDs in 2017), Romain Nosbaum (Ars Produktion), Tatsiana Zelianko (Neos), David Ianni (My Urban Piano), Claudia Moulin (Odradek) and Christoph Sietzen (Genuin). The Luxembourg Phil and Solistes Européens Luxembourg have published several CDs.

International showcases presented Luxembourg’s classical musicians around the world. For classical music, the Export Price 2017 was awarded to Instruments of Lucilin, the ensemble of contemporary music largely present in international productions.
