Sir Simon Rattle

Since the British Government has cancelled any financial support of a new concert hall in London – it’s a £278 million project -, promoters are looking now for a philanthropist willing to pump a lot of money into the project, offering this sponsor the possibility that the venue could take his or her name. British conductor Simon Rattle was won as new principal conductor for the London Symphony (LSO) with the promise to build a new concert hall for the orchestra.
