French pianist Lorenzo Soulès (*1992) won First Prize at the Orléans Piano Competition. Japanese pianist Chisato Taniguchi came second, Korean Chi Ho Han, 30, third.

Lorenzo Soulès studied with Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where he passed the concert exam with distinction. In addition, he took lessons with Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha in Barcelona from 2006 to 2009.

In 2012, at the age of 20, he won all available prizes at the Concours International de Genève, which help him to start his career. In Orléans he also won several prizes, including the Audience Award.
