Lee Mills has been appointed as sixth Music Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra (South Carolina). He signed a four-year contract. The symphony announced the news, ending a three-year search process that totaled 160 applicants from across the world. Throughout the 2023-24 season, six finalists hosted guest concerts in Greenville.

Mills will replace longtime conductor Edvard Tchivzhel, who led the orchestra for 24 years before stepping into an honorary role in 2023.
