After Spanish singer Placido Domingo was accused of sexual harassment by more than twenty women, the Los Angeles Opera, whose General Director he was, commissioned an independent investigation. This investigation has found that the singer engaged in « inappropriate conduct » with multiple women. Investigators deemed the allegations credible, according to a summary released by LA Opera.

The text says that the “level of discomfort reported by the women varied, ranging from some women stating they were not uncomfortable to others who described significant trauma.”

Investigators did not find evidence corroborating the accusations of quid pro quo and favouritism that Domingo faced – essentially, that he used his position to react against women who denied his advances.
