Philharmonie de Paris and the Paris Mozart Orchestra announce the opening of applications for the second edition of La Maestra, the International Competition for Women Conductors.
Registration will be available online at www.lamaestra-paris.com from 8 March until 3 September.
The competition will take place at the Philharmonie de Paris from 3 March to 6 March 2022. The resident orchestra for the competition will be the Paris Mozart Orchestra. La Maestra Competition is open to professional women conductors of all nationalities. There is no age limit.
The jury will be chaired by New York Philharmonic Orchestra general manager Deborah Borda and include conductors Marin Alsop, Claire Gibault, Kwame Ryan, Markus Stenz and Wing-Sie Yip.
