The latest Karajan Community Letter is a very varied one. The series about Karajan and Brahms is coming to an end. Next Sunday, 3 April, it will be 125 years since Johannes Brahms died in Vienna at the age of 63. Today we’re talking about the German Requiem, a centrepiece in Karajan’s repertoire and an ideal piece to celebrate the maestro’s 114th birthday on 5 April! The Newsletter is also congratulating Samuel Ramey on his 80th birthday and is presenting the program of this year’s Karajan Music Tech Conference.
