Venezuelan-born, Spanish conductor José Luis Gómez, 46, has signed a contract extension with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO) and will remain in the Music Director post until the 2029/30 season.

Gómez was first appointed to the TSO as Music Director Designate in 2016. His career began when he won First Prize at the International Georg Solti Conductors’ Competition in 2010.
