American conductor Jeffrey Kahane has announced that he will step down from his position as music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra at the end of the 2016-17 season. Kahane, 57, assumed his post in 1997. No successor has yet been announced. Kahane said, he will continue his career as a soloist and chamber musician.
