Dallas Symphony Orchestra music director Jaap van Zweden will not conduct rehearsals and concerts the week beginning April 3 due to family reasons. The Spanish conductor Gustavo Gimeno, music director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg, will step in as a substitute.

Van Zweden, the next Music Director of the New York Philharmonic,  has already pulled out of March concerts with the National Symphony in Washington and from concerts with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in February, also for « important family obligations ».
