The Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte, has announced that from tomorrow until (at least) the 24 November all theaters and concert halls in Italy will close. This is due to the rapidly escalating numbers of coronavirus cases in the country.

Various authorities across Belgium have agreed on a series of new measures for certain sectors which will come into effect immediately and aim to reduce contact and physical proximity.

In the Flemish part of the country cultural events can continue with a maximum of 200 people, but a strict protocol must be followed.

This applies in particular to cinemas, theaters and concert halls. The authorities have indicated that the major outbreaks of contamination are not in cultural venues, as the protocols are already strict there.

But in Wallonia and Brussels theaters and concert halls will be closed as of Monday 26 October.
