The US violinist Hilary Hahn has been awarded the Dresden Music Festival Prize for 2014. Worth €25,000, the award will be presented at a concert at the Dresden Semperoper on 4 June. In its statement, the jury said: « Through her authentic, contemporary musical language, Hilary Hahn reaches beyond the concert hall to young classical music fans. »
