The contract of Music Director Stuart Malina with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra (Pennsylvania) has been extended through 2023. The Amercian conductor has been the music director of the orchestra for 20 years.

Malina earned an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and studied with Otto-Werner Mueller at the Yale School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. He frequently performs as a piano soloist with the Harrisburg Symphony as well as performing with Harrisburg’s Market Square Concert Series, with HSO Concertmaster Peter Sirotin. He also serves as the Principal Guest Conductor of the Florida Orchestra and the Music Director of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
