The Antal Dorati Competition Budapest announced the winners of their third edition. More than 200 applicants from all around the world competed in the first phases of the competition, eight arrived to the semi-finals, and only two performed at the Finals. After long discussions, the international jury assigned the prizes as follows: First Prize went to Rémi Durupt from Paris, Second Prize to Omar El Jamali from Morocco.

Born in 1983 in Nancy/France, Rémi Durupt studied percussion in Strasbourg and in Geneva School. In 2019, he became an assistant of Peter Eötvös. He was awarded first prize at the 2018 « Giancarlo Facchinetti » International Conducting Competition in Brescia and was selected as a conductor in the 2019 mentoring program of the Peter Eötvös Foundation and the Art Mentor Foundation in Lucerne.
