Laurent Wagschal spielt ein Programm mit meist programmatischen, tonmalerischen oder impressionistischen Stücken. Der französische Pianist ist ein feinfühliger, sensibler Musiker, der die Schönheit der Werke und ihre Stimmungen hörbar macht, von feinster Sinnlichkeit bis hin zum prallen Leben in ‘Ménétriers et glaneuses’ oder der so besonderen Rhythmik von Erik Satie.
Er kann Eleganz, Raffinement und Klangschönheit sehr gekonnt miteinander verbinden und präsentiert so ein ebenso unterschiedliches wie am Ende doch kohärentes Programm.
Laurent Wagschal plays a program of mostly programmatic, tone-painting or impressionistic pieces. The French pianist is a delicate, sensitive musician who makes the beauty of the works and their moods audible, from the finest sensuality to the plump life in ‘Ménétriers et glaneuses’ or the so special rhythm of Erik Satie.
He is able to combine elegance, refinement and beauty of sound very skillfully, presenting a program as diverse as it is coherent in the end.
