Over 64,000 spectators attended the 77th edition of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence which comprised five staged operas, including two world premieres two operas in concert and 12 concerts and recitals. The overall occupancy rate stands at 92% (90% in 2024).
The festival was conceived and designed by Pierre Audi, who died in May. The festival news release says: « … and we were keen to bring it to life and present it to the public as a tribute to his artistic vision and commitment. Our warmest thanks go to Bernard Foccroulle, specially appointed advisor for this edition, who accompanied us. »
