Frédéric Chopin: Klaviersonate Nr. 3 op. 58 + Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise Brillante op. 22 + Polonaise-Fantasie op. 61 + Ballade Nr. 4 op. 52; Anastasia Yasko, Klavier; 1 CD Ars Produktion 38622; Aufnahme 02.2021, Veröffentlichung 05.01.2023 (o.A.)

The pianist Anastasia Yasko who teaches at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, plays a whole Chopin program, which illustrates well the character of the composer. He expresses his feelings and emotions in it without cheating, with simplicity and moderation, with sobriety and tenderness. These attributes also apply to the playing of Anastasia Yasko. Her playing is virtuosic, has poetry and refinement, and brings out the composer’s sensibility.

In the 3rd Sonata, for example, there is no showiness, no harsh accents, for Yasko speaks a fine language, full of nuances, and one has to listen to catch everything she is saying in this inspired and sensitive interpretation.
