Die italienische Sopranistin Alice Borciani singt ein Programm mit hauptsächlich Musik von Antonio Cesti (1623-1669) Diese Sängerin hat eine sehr besondere Stimme: es ist ein sehr hoher, mädchenhafter Sopran, engelsgleich, könnte man sagen, mit glockenreinem Kopfklang und schwebendem Vibrato. Nur die Tiefe ist etwas schwach. Intonation und Artikulation hingegen sind frappierend gut. In jedem Fall passt die Stimme gut zu diesem Programm.
Antonio Cesti wird hauptsächlich mit Venedig in Verbindung gebracht, arbeitete auch in Florenz, Wien und Innsbruck. Er wurde in Arezzo geboren und erhielt seine erste musikalische Ausbildung als Chorknabe im Dom von Arezzo. Er vertiefte seine Fähigkeiten in Rom, wo er u. a. Schüler von Carissimi war. Obwohl er zum Priester geweiht wurde, betätigte er sich als Sänger, Schauspieler und Komponist. Der Großteil seines Werks besteht aus weltlichen Kantaten und Opern.
Borciani gestaltet die Kantaten sicher und vital, einfühlsam und eben vokal immer sehr apart.
Die Instrumentalisten von Il Zabaione Musicale lassen keine Wünsche offen.
The Italian soprano Alice Borciani sings a program with mainly music by Antonio Cesti (1623-1669). This singer has a very special voice: it is a very high, girlish soprano, angelic, one might say, with a bell-clean head vioice and floating vibrato. Only the depth is a bit weak. Intonation and articulation, on the other hand, are strikingly good. In any case, the voice fits this program well.
Antonio Cesti is mainly associated with Venice, but also worked in Florence, Vienna and Innsbruck. He was born in Arezzo and received his first musical training as a choirboy in Arezzo Cathedral. He deepened his skills in Rome, where he was a pupil of Carissimi, among others. Although he was ordained a priest, he was active as a singer, actor and composer. Most of his work consists of secular cantatas and operas.
Borciani performs the cantatas with confidence and vitality, with sensitivity, and always with vocal distinction.
The instrumentalists of Il Zabaione Musicale leave nothing to be desired.
