From 1 January 2026, 42-year-old Macedonian conductor and choral director Elena Mitrevska will take over the artistic leadership of the choirs of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), also known as the Danish National Vocal Ensemble and Concert Choir. She succeeds Michael Emery, who steps down after ten successful years.
Mitrevska joins DR with extensive experience from leading roles in Vienna, Oviedo, Skopje, and most recently Malmö, where she currently serves as Chorus Master of Malmö Opera.
