Diskussionen darüber, welche Musiker Ukrainer sind, wird es wohl immer geben, und die Standpunkte werden wohl ziemlich gefestigt und unflexibel sein. Ich sage es mal so: Wenn jemand 1943 in dem von Nazi-Deutschland annektierten Luxemburg geboren wurde, in, sagen wir mal, nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in München ausgebildet wurde, und danach in Paris arbeitete, macht das aus ihm keinen Deutschen und keinen Franzosen, sondern er ist Luxemburger. Dementsprechend teile ich mit den Herausgebern dieser CD die Meinung, dass die Künstler dieser Veröffentlichung, die bekannten und die weniger bekannten, Ukrainer sind.
Und eigentlich ist es schlimm, sehr schlimm, dass die westliche Welt erst wegen Putins barbarischem Krieg erkannt hat, dass die Ukraine seit Jahrhunderten eine eigene kulturelle und nationale Identität, hatte, aber die meiste Zeit dieser Zeit von den Russen besetzt war, die Land, Leute und Kultur annektierten und sich ihnen unterwarfen.
Also: willkommen zuhause, David Oistrach, Sergei Prokofiev, Svjatoslav Richter, Nathan Milstein und alle anderen, die in diesen historischen Aufnahmen (von unterschiedlicher technischer Qualität) zu hören sind. Das Programm ist abwechslungsreich und enthält wahre Schätze.
Wer diese CD kauft, tut das auch für einen guten Zweck. Die Einnahmen nach Abzug der Kosten aus gehen vollständig an die Wohltätigkeitsorganisation des ukrainischen Volkes (https: www. Razomforukraine. org).
Discussions about which musicians are Ukrainians will probably always exist, and the points of view will probably be quite fixed and inflexible. Let me put it this way: if someone was born in Luxembourg annexed by Nazi Germany in 1943, educated after WW II in, say, Munich, and then worked in Paris, that doesn’t make him a German or a Frenchman, but he is a Luxembourger. Accordingly, I share with the editors of this CD the opinion that the artists of this release, the well-known and the less well-known, are Ukrainians.
And actually, it is terrible that only because of Putin’s barbaric war the Western world has realized that Ukraine for centuries had its own cultural and national identity, but for most of that time was occupied by the Russians who annexed and subjugated the land, people and culture.
So welcome home David Oistrakh, Sergei Prokofiev, Svjatoslav Richter, Nathan Milstein and all the others featured in these historic recordings (of varying technical quality). The program is varied and contains real treasures.
