BR Klassik veröffentlicht digital diverse Brahms-Aufnahmen des BR-Chors. Da sind zunächst die Drei weltlichen Gesänge, op. 42, Abendständchen, Vineta,und Darthulas Grabgesang, in denen der Farbenreichtum in dieser ausdrucksstarken Vertonung der Texte besonders auffällt. Dieselbe klangliche Schönheit und Ausgewogenheit findet sich in den Gesängen für Frauenchor, 2 Hörner und Harfe.

Die dritte Veröffentlichung ist nur zwei Minuten lang: Es handelt sich um ‘Des Postillons Morgenlied’, ein frühes Chorwerk für Männerstimmen des 14-jährigen Johannes Brahms auf ein Gedicht von Wilhelm Müller, das erst 2010 entdeckt wurde. Der Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks brachte das Stück 2010 zur Uraufführung.

BR Klassik is releasing various Brahms recordings by the BR Choir in digital format. The first release is Three Secular Songs, Op. 42, including Abendständchen, Vineta, and Darthulas Grabgesang. These pieces are particularly striking for their rich colors and expressive settings of the texts.

The third release is only two minutes long. It is Des Postillons Morgenlied, an early choral work for male voices by 14-year-old Johannes Brahms, based on a poem by Wilhelm Müller. This piece was only discovered in 2010. The Bavarian Radio Choir premiered the piece in 2010.
