Monserrat Caballé

The Montserrat Caballé Foundation is facing an eviction order for non-payment of rent for its headquarters, located in Muntaner street in Barcelona, whose eviction the judge has set for next October 3.

Since 2020, both the Foundation and the singer’s brother, Carlos Caballé, who uses the apartment as a home, have been on the lease of the premises.  It is said that the non-payments of rent began in August 2023.

Incorporated in 2019 and legally registered the following year, the Montserrat Caballé Private Foundation’s objectives include preserving and disseminating the legacy of the legendary soprano, organizing the Montserrat Caballé Singing Competition, holding events and concerts as well as helping young talents through scholarships and support for the development of their careers.
