An accident occurred on stage, Sunday night at the Teatro dal Verme in Milan. While conducting the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Chinese conductor Muhai Tang, 70, lost his trousers. Undismayed, he pulled up his trousers as the orchestra played on without missing a beat.

The concert was meant to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The orchestra reunited not only the Scala musicians but also musicians from six other countries, including China.

In 2016, Tang is known for having had another accident. While taking bows, he slipped on stage in Tanjin, fell against the soprano who stand next to him and dragged her with him into the fall.
