Swiss conductor Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer (*1983) has been announced as the new Artistic Director of Andermatt Music in Switzerland. Under its new Artistic Director Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer, Andermatt Music aims at bringing a varied and high-quality music programme to Switzerland’s unique alpine concert hall. An average of 20 concerts are planned per season.
The opening weekend, 4–6 February 2022 features the Swiss Orchestra’s debut concert as the Andermatt Concert Hall’s orchestra in residence, a recital by pianist Hélène Grimaud and a Stubete – a social meeting of folk musicians – of local ensemble Gläuffig with friends.
Founded in 2018 by Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer, the Swiss Orchestra serves as the orchestra in residence in Andermatt.
