Christina Scheppelmann, currently General Director of Seattle Opera, has been appointed to the Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels. She will replace Peter de Caluwe, who has held the post since 2007 and whose term of office ends on July 1, 2025. Having previously worked in Milan and San Francisco, German Christina Scheppelmann was director of the Muscat and Barcelona opera houses before joining Seattle in 2019.
