If a new contract deal isn’t reached by March 10, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians will go on strike. They voted to authorize a strike last Wednesday. The CSO labour contract expired September 17, 2018, and was extended to March 10, 2019 in order to facilitate discussions. The main issues in the dispute include pension, health care benefits, and salaries.
