The ‘Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth’ (CMRE, Queen Elisabeth College of Music) in Waterloo/Brussels is extending its facilities. This renowned center of excellence for artistic training of exceptionally gifted young musicians in piano, violin, cello, chamber music and voice is building a totally new aisle behind the existing construction, even though it is smaller than initially planned and will not comprise the concert hall with 750 seats that would have allowed to organize bigger concerts on the spot.

The new building is to be completed in 2014, the year of the 75th anniversary of the Chapelle which was inaugurated by Belgian Queen Elizabeth in 1939. However it looks like if operations could start in the new part of the Chapelle only in 2015. Currently CMRE continues to ask for private donations in order to ensure the whole realization of the project.
