The General Assembly of the AEAA (European Association of Artist Managers), held in Istanbul, hosted and organized in collaboration with Borusan Sanat, one of Turkey’s leading cultural institutions, elected Cristina Uruc, Manager of Artexi, the Romanian artist agency that also organizes the George Enescu International Festival and Competition in Bucharest as President for the 2025–2028 term. Cristina Uruc succeeds Réda Sidi Boumedine (RSB Artists).

Hundreds of American classical musicians have signed an open letter « to our fellow citizens » and they are speaking out now « because we are alarmed by the many actions targeting free speech that are being forced on our country, our colleagues and our institutions by President Trump and his administration. » They say: « The freedom to explore and share these perspectives, explicitly guaranteed by our constitution, is in grave danger. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) has announced a gift of $1 million from long-time patrons Peter and Margie Kelk. Their gift will fund creative programming and new commissions for six seasons, including works by Francisco Coll, Bekah Simms, and the 2025/26 NextGen Composers, Darren Xu, Jesse Plessis, and Sophie Dupuis.
