5,470 students throughout France and their teachers worked on this year’s Prize for Composers, SuperPhoniques. 700 of them were supposed to attend an event scheduled for the 23 May at the Grand Auditorium de Radio France in Paris. The event was planned with a time for exchange between students and composers, the award ceremony and the premiere of the piece by the winner of the Grand Prix Lycéen des Compositeurs 2023, Michel Petrossian, by the Ensemble Intercontemporain. Now, this has been cancelled due to a strike announced by Radio France unions on May 23 and 24, making it impossible to organize the day and welcome students under satisfactory conditions.

Instead, an award ceremony will be held at the Pavillon de la Sirène (Paris XIV) on May 23 wirth an unfortunately reduced format, without students or teachers, and open only to partners and professionals.
