American conductor Donato Cabrera, 50, has signed a contract extension with the California Symphony for an additional five years. Cabrera was appointed Music Director in 2013.
Also the music director of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Cabrera has served as the resident conductor of the San Francisco Symphony and music director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra between 2009 and 2016. He received a Herbert von Karajan Conducting Fellowship at the Salzburg Festival.
