Der ukrainische Komponist  Myroslav Skoryk (*1938), ein Schüler von Dmitry Kabalevsky, hat in vielen Gattungen komponiert und allein zum Genre des Violinkonzerts neun Werke beigesteuert, von denen die vier ersten auf dieser CD erklingen. Sie dauern alle vier um die Viertelstunde und sind in dieser kurzen Zeit vollgestopft mit Ideen, die der Violine und dem Orchester reichlich Gelegenheit geben, rhythmische Akzente zu setzen, zu singen und in einer sehr farbigen Musik zu brillieren. Und das tun Andrej Bielow und das Ukrainische Nationalorchester sehr gut!

Fazit: In diesen tontechnisch gut aufgenommenen Interpretationen, spricht Skoryks Musik an, sie ist wirkungsvoll, abwechslungsreich und fließt nicht spurlos an einem vorbei.

The Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk (*1938), a pupil of Dmitry Kabalevsky, has composed in many genres and contributed nine works to the genre of the violin concerto alone, the first four of which can be heard on this CD. All four of them last around fifteen minutes and in this short time they are packed with ideas that give the violin and the orchestra ample opportunity to set rhythmic accents, to sing and to shine in a very colourful music. And Andrej Bielow and the Ukrainian National Orchestra do this very well! So, in these interpretations, which have been well captured by the sound engineers, Skorky’s music appeals, it is effective, varied and truly remarkable.
