Moscow’s Bolshoi and the Met in New York have announced a 3-year-cooperation plan to jointly create new productions of Aida, Salome, and Lohengrin, with performances to take place in both cities between 2019 and 2022.

According to a press release, Aida will be staged by American director Michael Mayer, Salome by the German director Claus Guth, and Lohengrin by the English director Phelim McDermott. Anna Netrebko is said to perform in all three operas, both at the Bolshoi and at the Met, singing the title roles in Aida and Salome, and the role of Elsa in Lohengrin. The conductors will be Tugan Sokhiev and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
