Monte-Carlo Opera and Cecilia Bartoli announced the official appointment of Gianluca Capuano as Principal Conductor of Les Musiciens du Prince, an orchestra created in 2016 by the Italian singer.

In January 2017, at the request of Cecilia Bartoli, artistic director of the Musicians of Prince-Monaco, Gianluca Capuano joined the orchestra as conductor for La Cenerentola, which he conducted  in Dortmund, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Martigny, Versailles and Luxembourg.

After this successful collaboration, Capuano collaborated quite often with the orchestra, so that his nomination is a logical result of this work.

Born in Milan, Gianluca Capuano graduated in organ, composition and direction of the conservatory of this city; he then specialized in the ancient repertoire at the Scuola Civica in Milan.
