Der armenische Tenor Liparit Avetisyan hat eine leichte, gut timbrierte Tenorstimme, die sich perfekt für ein Belcanto Programm eignet. Er hat eine sichere Höhe, aber die Stimme franst unter Druck etwas silbrig aus. Ansonsten ist sie gut geführt und hat viel Wärme, italienischen Schmelz und kann sehr zärtlich und poetisch klingen. Das ist wohl des Sängers charakteristischstes und auch gewinnendes Merkmal. Die Aussprache im Französischen lässt zu wünschen übrig (à tes piaids me voici und ähnliches).
Una furtiva lagrima, Ella mi fu rapita, Lenskys Arie aus Eugen Onegin und Vaudémonts Arie aus Iolanta sind sicherlich die besten Momente dieses Albums.
Armenian tenor Liparit Avetisyan has a light, well-timbred voice that is perfectly suited to bel canto repertoire. He has a secure high register, though his voice frays slightly under pressure. Otherwise, his voice is well-controlled, warm, and mellow with an Italian quality. It can sound very tender and poetic. This is probably the singer’s most appealing and characteristic feature. His French pronunciation could be better (e.g., à tes plaids me voici). Una furtiva lagrima, Ella mi fu rapita, Lensky’s aria from Eugene Onegin, and Vaudémont’s aria from Iolanta are certainly the best moments on this album.
