Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (Tennessee) has announced that Music Director Aram Demirjian, 39, has signed a four-year extension to stay with the orchestra through the 2029-2030 season. He is in this position since 2016.
Aram Demirjian is American-born and of Armenian descent. He holds a joint Bachelor of Arts in Music and Government from Harvard University, and a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from New England Conservatory. He is the winner of the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award.
