Antoni Wir setzt seinen Noskowski-Zyklus mit der saisonhaft strukturierten 3. Symphonie fort. Er dirigiert kraft- und ausdrucksvoll, vielleicht nicht ganz so schlank und federnd als Lukasz Borowicz mit dem Orchester aus Poznan, aber er lässt die Farben in Noskowskis Musik gut aufblühen.

Sehr schön und expressiv ist der zweite Satz ‘Sommer: Die Schönheit vom Vorabend des St. Johannestag (Adagio molto espressivo)’. Aus der nostalgischen Stimmung entsteht behutsam der Erntetanz. Das kontrastreiche Finale mit Winterruhe, Schneesturm und Frühlingserwartung gelingt Wit wirklich hervorragend.

Auch die fast 20 Minuten lange Tondichtung Steppe wird evokativ ausmusiziert.

Antoni Wir continues his Noskowski cycle with the seasonally structured Symphony No. 3. He conducts powerfully and expressively, perhaps not quite as slender and springy as Lukasz Borowicz with the orchestra from Poznan, but he allows the colors in Noskowski’s music to blossom well

 The second movement ‘Summer: the beauty of the eve of St. John’s Day (Adagio molto espressivo)’ is very beautiful and expressive. The harvest dance gently emerges from the nostalgic mood. The high-contrast finale with winter rest, snowstorm and expectation of spring is a truly outstanding success for Wit.

The almost 20-minute long tone poem Steppe is also played evocatively.
