The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA in Vancouver, Washington, has received a $1,250,000 gift from Dr. Michael C. Liu to commemorate his wife, Nien-Wei Hsiao. The orchestra’s chamber music series will be renamed, with an endowment fund established.

Nien-Wei Hsiao, who passed away earlier this year after a battle with a rare form of cancer, was a deeply engaged volunteer at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA (VSO-USA).
