Unter den Countertenören zeichnet sich die Stimme von Alois Mühlbacher als besonders schön und einfühlsam aus. Sein in punkto Atmung und Artikulation gut kontrolliertes und zugleich auch nuanciertes Singen, ein fein dosiertes Vibrato  und die natürliche Deklamation sind als Vorteile zu verbuchen.

Die Präsenz der Stimme ist im oberen Register gut, könnte aber in der Tiefe mehr Kraft verzeichnen. Man wünschte sich auch hin und wieder etwas mehr Vergeistigung und auch mehr Individualität.

Auch vom Ensemble Pallidor hätte ich mir mehr Vitalität und Präsenz erwartet. Insgesamt könnte die Musik dynamischer und lebendiger klingen. Zum Teil mag dieser Eindruck an einem wenig konturierten Klangbild liegen.

Trotz der Einwände ist dies ein weiteres Zeugnis vom Talent des Sängers Alois Mühlbacher.

Among today’s countertenors, Alois Mühlbacher’s voice stands out as particularly beautiful and sensitive. His well-controlled and at the same time nuanced singing in terms of breathing and articulation, a finely dosed vibrato and natural declamation are all advantages.

The presence of the voice is good in the upper register, but could be more powerful in the lower register. From time to time, one would have liked a little more spirituality and more individuality.

I would also have expected more vitality and presence from the Pallidor ensemble. Overall, the music could sound more dynamic and lively. This impression may be partly due to a poorly contoured sound. 

Despite the objections, this is further testimony to the talent of the singer Alois Mühlbacher.
