Zwölf Mozart-Ouvertüren sind auf diesem Album zu hören. Die Interpretationen der Kölner Akademie unter Michael Alexander Willens sind sehr frisch, virtuos und für meinen Geschmack etwas sprunghaft.
Das historische Instrumentarium besorgt einen klaren, knackigen und transparenten Klang, der von den Tontechnikern mit guter Räumlichkeit und Balance wiedergegeben wird, mit einem sauberen und schön präsenten Bassfundament.
Wer ein solches Programm mit mehr Eleganz, aber auch insgesamt etwas braver hören will, kann zu Neville Marriner und der Academy of St. Martin in the Fields zurückkehren.
Twelve Mozart overtures can be heard on this album. The interpretations are very fresh, virtuosic and, for my taste, somewhat jumpy.
The historical instruments provide a clear, crisp and transparent sound, which is reproduced by the sound engineers with good spatiality and balance, with a clean and beautifully present bass.
If you want to hear a program like this with more elegance, but also a little conservative overall, you can return to Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.
