La Monnaie in Brussels has just announced the reappointment of Alain Altinoglu, 49, as Music Director of the royal opera house until 2031. At the helm of the Monnaie since January 2016, his mandate had already been renewed in 2019.

Alain Altinoglu has also been Music Director of the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt since the 2021/2022 season, and Artistic Director of the Colmar Festival since July 2023.
