In Madrid, a new artistic and pedagogical project has been announced, Musical Arts Madrid (MAM), that will start in the 2021/2021 academic year. The newly created musical institute has already opened its registration for a Summer Course that will take place in the months of July and August and that will be a preamble to the school year.

The project is based on an innovative vision of music education in which the professors are active musicians in orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Radio de France Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin…

Pianist Josu de Solaun has been chosen as artistic director of Musical Arts Madrid. Musical Arts will also have an annual resident composer who will be elected by the Artistic Committee. The 2020/2021 season will start with Hermes Luaces (Madrid, 1975), whose works have been awarded numerous prizes and performed in Europe, Asia and America by a variety of orchestras and ensembles. Hermes Luaces will compose various pieces that will be premiered by students and teachers playing together in ensembles.
