The Royal Opera House of Versailles has been the theater of monarchic and republican life throughout its history, hosting festivities (balls and banquets for princely weddings), operas, concerts and even parliamentary debates.

Since 2009, the performances, conceived in this perspective and for this very special place, bring back to life the time when Versailles was one of the main centers of musical creation in Europe.

Today, the Royal Opera hosts 100 performances per musical season, staged operas or concert versions, recitals, plays and ballets: all the great names and international performers follow one another on this prestigious stage.

The Royal Opera Orchestra was born of these high-level experiences, bringing together the best instrumentalists from prestigious ensembles and orchestras across Europe, with the aim of adapting to the artistic projects programmed at the Royal Opera and their guest artists.

In Luxembourg the Orchestra will be conducted by Stefan Plewniak and perform works by Ariosti, Hasse, Vivaldi and Alessandro Scarlatti featuring mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet and countertenor Filippo Mineccia
