Marc André & Ivan Boumans

Ivan Boumans says: « It is for me an honour to be part of this adventure, but also a big responsibility. Unfortunately there are not many concertos for Double Bass in the repertoire. This captivating instrument has always scared composers… I’m taking on this challenge! »

Marc André says: “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring a new concerto for double bass to life with Ivan Boumans and the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein. This collaboration reflects my mission to expand the expressive and soloistic possibilities of the double bass, and I am honored that a devoted private patron has made it possible for us to share this music with audiences in Liechtenstein and beyond.”

Carsten Huber (General manager SOL) adds: « It is a great joy and honor for Liechtenstein, as a cultural destination, to offer the stage together with the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein for the world premiere of this wonderful work. Innovation, talented artists, and ideal conditions create the perfect environment for such outstanding international collaborations. »
